Job Description


Summary: The Davis School of Business at Colorado Mesa University is seeking candidates for the rank of Instructor of Business. Candidates may come from diverse backgrounds, with a range of experiences, achievements, and leadership roles, either within or outside academia. Candidates should have significant industry, business, or corporate experience relevant to Business Administration and Management. The position is full-time, non-tenure-track starting August 2025. As a member of the Davis School of Business, you will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate courses such as Principles of Management, Business Communications, Project Management, and Organizational Behavior.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

    • A Master's degree in Business, Management, or closely related field with significant work experience.
    • Demonstrated potential for exceptional teaching performance.
    • Commitment to best practices in instruction and student advising/mentoring.
    • Demonstrated dedication to maintaining currency relevant to business and management.
    • Demonstrated potential for active involvement in institutional, community, and/or professional activities. Strong communication and organizational skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience teaching college-level business and management courses beyond student teaching.
    • Five plus years of business industry experience is strongly preferred given our hands-on, application-oriented approach in the classroom.
