Research Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a Research Assistant in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine to assist with Neuro-Oncology research.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for data collection, data management, data analysis and statistical modeling for neuro-oncology and spine tumor research.
- Will work closely with the principal investigator on research activities including a radio genomics clinical trial.
- Very strong organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Make independent judgments about data being analyzed and to act on decisions on a daily basis.
- Prioritize personal workflow and the work of other staff as needed.
- Work with flexibility on several tasks simultaneously and to meet various concurrent deadlines.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of University and Hospital employees as well as outside contacts.
- Potential opportunity to be first author of manuscript(s) as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with biostatistics is highly valued.
- Interest and/or experience with neurosciences or oncology.

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY ($18,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: M-F, 8:30am - 5:00pm
