Summary of Position

The RENEW Trainer and Coach will provide RENEW Foundational training and coaching to individuals in schools, mental health centers, residential treatment centers, and other settings as appropriate. The trainer and coach will also support agency implementation teams and will use all RENEW tools and procedures as developed by the RENEW team at the IOD.

This work location for this role is at the Durham Institute on Disability office and is eligible for hybrid work with frequently required travel. Valid Driver’s license or the ability to travel to work locations as assigned is required.

Other minimum qualifications

3 years of experience providing research-based mental health and transition planning services to youth and young adults in a school or mental health setting; has been trained to provide the RENEW intervention and has at least 1 year of experience training or mentoring others in youth mental health. Preference for applicants that are certified RENEW coaches.

• Excellent MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
• Strong analytical thinking and critical thinking skills
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Trained and experienced with delivering the RENEW intervention to high-risk youth.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in special education, social work, psychology, or related field
• Certified RENEW Coach
