Job Description
Responsibilities*
The Digital Fundraising Assistant will help with the planning and execution of U-M?s digital
fundraising efforts with a specific focus on helping with Giving Blueday (our day of giving) and
crowdfunding efforts. This role will help to create the website, assist in marketing and outreach
efforts, and benchmark with peer institutions.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Digital Fundraising Assistant to join our team
and collaborate with us on fundraising efforts. We need someone with curiosity and inspiration,
talent and passion.
Responsibilities:
? Supports the implementation of comprehensive digital fundraising plans
? Authors, when necessary, editorial content for social media, email, and web
? Seeks opportunities to maximize donor/supporter engagement through crowdfunding
efforts
? Provides research and cataloging support
? Supports special projects
? Assists with updating and maintaining our crowdfunding platform and giving day
websites
? Assists with presenting consistent, timely reporting on digital fundraising performance
? Assists with administrative support for the team, as needed
? Send weekly thank you videos to giving day donors (must be comfortable being on
camera)
Required Qualifications*
Required Qualifications:
? Strong writing skills
? Careful attention to detail
? Ability to set and manage priorities, while handling multiple assignments and deadlines
? Familiarity with social media channels and trends
? Passion for the University of Michigan and fundraising
Desired Qualifications*
Desired Qualifications:
? Experience using video equipment and video editing tools
? Experience adding or managing content on a content management system like
Wordpress
? Experience with creating social media content
