Job Description

The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated individual to join our Financial Aid Office as a Temporary/Seasonal Federal Financial Aid Processor. This position will support the Financial Aid Office during peak periods by assisting with the processing of federal financial aid applications, verification of student information, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal financial aid processes and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process federal financial aid applications, including FAFSA submissions.
  • Verify student information and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal regulations.
  • Assist with the packaging and awarding of federal financial aid to eligible students.
  • Communicate with students and parents to resolve discrepancies and provide guidance on financial aid processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the financial aid management system.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation required for federal audits and reviews.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Financial Aid Director.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of previous experience in financial aid processing.
  • Knowledge of federal financial aid regulations and processes.
  • Proficiency in using financial aid management systems and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.

 

Working Conditions:

  • This is a temporary/seasonal position with variable hours based on the needs of the Financial Aid Office.
  • The position may require occasional evening or weekend work during peak periods.
  • The work is primarily performed in an office setting.

 

Position Type: Temporary/Seasonal/Remote/Hourly

Salary Recommendation: $38 - $42 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
