Title: Anatomy and Physiology Instructor (In-Person)

Salary Range: $44,000 (minimum annual salary on 10-month renewable contract)

Contract Term Length: 10 Months

Standard Hours: 37.5

Work Location: On-Site

Job Summary

Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in Anatomy & Physiology

Position begins: December 16, 2024

 

Job Duties:

Reports directly to the Dean of Mathematics and Sciences and is responsible for the following:
•Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in Anatomy and Physiology.
•Incorporates a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students with differing educational experiences, experiential backgrounds, and learning styles to assist them in meeting course competencies. Evaluates students’ progress toward stated course competencies and informs them of their progress in a timely manner.
•Provides quality and timely access to students and communicates availability through appropriate methods such as posted campus/office hours and electronic communication. Maintains professional relationships with colleagues, students, and the community.
•Participates in non-teaching assignments including instructional development, academic advising, student orientation, registration assignments, college-wide and/or division activities and committees, professional development, internal and external service, and other assigned responsibilities determined in consultation with the Dean.
•This position requires teaching a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester, or a minimum of 30 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters combined. Teaching assignments may include teaching on one or more of the college’s campuses, online, or some combination thereof, based on the needs of the students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited university with at least 18 graduate hours in Anatomy and Physiology or a related field. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge, experience, or evidence of a commitment to inclusivity, and excellence in teaching methodologies that effectively engage our diverse student population. The candidate should have experience with instructional technologies, including presentation software and learning management systems (i.e., Blackboard). Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency with technology, as well as written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
