Job Summary
Network Engineer to design and implement in-building networks across university campus. Requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related IT discipline + 5 years of network engineering experience in a higher education environment that includes design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security; experience with both Cisco and Aruba network equipment; and configuring and deploying F5 network load balancer. Responsibilities*
Design and implement in-building networks across campus. This includes the distribution layer which is the router between the building and the core network, as well as the access layer which includes wired and WiFi connections. Use of ethernet and Wi-Fi, switching and routing protocols, and associated equipment. Install Cisco equipment and Juniper devices. Use Aruba networking products. Assist with configuration and long term support of load balancing infrastructure based on hardware from F5 Networks. Up to 100% local telecommuting permitted.
