Description of Work Unit
As one of five departments in the College, the Department of Accounting currently has 15 full-time faculty members. The department offers a Master of Accountancy degree and an undergraduate concentration in accounting. The Master of Accountancy and the undergraduate program have outstanding career placement rates and are consistently the top programs in the state for graduates passing the CPA Exam. Position Summary
The Department of Accounting in the College of Business at Colorado State University invites applications for one full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Accounting. Rank is at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must be able to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in auditing, data analytics, financial reporting, information systems or managerial accounting. The anticipated start date is August, 2025, but the start date is negotiable. Salary will be competitive, based upon credentials and experience.

Applicants must have:
  • a Ph.D. or DBA in accounting from an AACSB accredited university (or equivalent). Candidates who expect to complete the degree prior to the position’s start date will be considered;
  • a demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in accounting scholarship commensurate with experience; and
  • a demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching.

Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests align with those of current accounting faculty at Colorado State University.
