Job Description
DESCRIPTIONUnder supervision, performs and records all sonographic procedures and assists with some specialty procedures in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols. Operates various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers, and recording devices. Recognizes normal and pathological conditions and modifies the exam accordingly to ensure complete and accurate high quality information is obtained. Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established Ultrasound protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure excellent image quality. Trouble shoots and resolves ultrasound related PACS issues. Participates in performance improvement projects within the department. Floats within department as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Duties are to be performed at a Practitioner Level. Floats to specialty unit (if qualified). Assists with mentoring of junior ultrasound technologists and students as needed. Assists other ultrasound technologists with difficult procedures that require advanced skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSGraduate of a school of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent years of experience.
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)in AB and OB/GYN.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience.
Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated computer skills.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $134,780 - $134,780 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $64.55 - $64.55
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
