POSITION VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT for
SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT REPRESENTATIVE
(Special Education Support – Central and Southern Ohio)
The Education Division of Buckeye Community Hope Foundation is seeking a School Improvement Representative with expertise in special education. The Representative functions as a member of the Division’s accountability and school improvement department. The Representative provides direct and indirect services to sponsored schools to ensure compliance with state and federal mandates, and with adopted policies and procedures in special education. This role is carried out through routine reviews onsite at schools, technical assistance and professional development, and investigation of complaints, indicator reports, and other source data. The Representative also provides general school improvement support to assigned schools. The Representative serves as a member of the Education Division team and works to continually improve the sponsorship relationship and the quality of the community school movement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field such as school administration; Master’s degree preferred
- Five or more years of special education experience in community or traditional public schools; supervisory experience in special education preferred
- Experience in data analysis and professional development
- Driver’s license and ability to travel to schools throughout Ohio, at times for overnight stays
- Accessible to Central and Southern Ohio schools in particular; location in Columbus, Ohio greater metropolitan area preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Computer/technical skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Criminal investigations clearance – BCI and FBI

Compensation Package:
12-month position at $60,000 base adjustable for training and experience; paid health insurance Health Savings Account, and vacation benefits. More details will be shared at the interviews.
