Essential Job Duties
- Support program ideation and planning, partnering with department leadership to create targeted communication and marketing strategies.
- Design and develop content for departmental channels, including listservs, newsletters, social media, event calendars, and the website.
- Uphold the Centennial Campus Placemaking identity, ensuring adherence to NC State University brand guidelines when creating content and engaging with external stakeholders.
- Stay informed on major social media platforms, current marketing trends, and analytics tools, managing the social media content calendar.
- Coordinate tasks with student interns.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning for growth, engagement, and placemaking initiatives.
- Assist in internal communication efforts, optimizing resources to support stakeholders, students, and the university community.
- Provide onsite support at events as part of the Centennial Campus Placemaking team.

Other Responsibilities
- There is an opportunity to grow in this role as you will assist with administrative program management, as requested by the departmental leadership.
Minimum Experience/Education
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Other Required Qualifications
- Proficient in Mailchimp or similar email listserv software, with strong MS Office, database, and information system skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, proofreading, and copy-editing abilities.
- Analytical and passionate about digital media, with effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines accurately.
- Independent, proactive self-starter with excellent project management and coordination skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively and coordinating team efforts.
- Willingness to work nights or weekends for events as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graphic design experience including typography, color theory, and publication layout. Advanced usage of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere) and Final Cut Pro.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
