Join the rehabilitation team at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego as a Rehab Therapy Aide, and partner with experienced therapists at this Level 1 Trauma Center and engage with a wide variety of patients. The ideal candidate will put themselves in the patient's shoes and must be comfortable assisting with wound care and transporting. This tight-knit and engaged team thrives on teamwork, communication, and attention to detail to provide world class patient care.
As an aide, you will:
* assist in providing age-appropriate services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including direct treatment, under appropriate licensed supervision, to individuals and groups, evaluation and selection of adaptive equipment
* participate in quality improvement programs, and documentation of services according to hospital and departmental standards.
Required:
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
Preferred:
* Previous experience working under the direct supervision of a physical/occupational therapist or assistant in an outpatient and/or inpatient acute care setting recommended.
