The Collective is a retail shopping experience coming to Owings Mills. The shop will feature a collection of locally made products, amplifying the diversity of small businesses in our community. The Collective will be a place for customers to elevate their purchase from simply a transactional experience to a transformational one. The tagline, “Gather – Shop – Inspire” encourages people to meet at the shop, to include a visit to The Collective as part of a day out, or as a gathering spot after a meeting. Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma required. Three (3) years of prior retail and customer service experience. Including experience handling cash and making daily bank deposits. Prior experience with inventory responsibilities and excellent computer skills. Evening and weekend availability required.
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Maintain a working knowledge of the products sold in the shop so to assist customers interested in the merchandise.
- Ensure that the store is neat and always presentable to the customer, which includes restocking when necessary.
- Process payment transactions using POS system.
- Accepting packages and inventory responsibilities, including monthly reports.
- Maintain social media content on storefront approved platforms.
- Daily sales reports, cash responsibilities and bank deposits.
- Follow procedures for opening and closing the store.
- Ability to participate in weekly check in meetings with staff team.
