DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager the cosmetic surgery coordinator is responsible for the coordination of work queues and cosmetic surgery procedures within the clinic. Schedules clinic appointments, related tests, procedures and pre- and post-op appointments. Confirms referrals, authorizations are appropriate for level of scheduled services. Functions as liaison for patients, physicians, and other departments regarding scheduling, authorization and patient surgery preparation. Provides support for DME ordering and coordination of services. Determines patient problems and inform appropriate individuals of solutions and/or make recommendations as appropriate. With the approval of the Clinic Manager, the Coordinator initiates and participates in improvement efforts which directly impact the practice. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three (3) years of related scheduling experience in ambulatory setting.

  • Experience processing authorizations, referrals, and with financial oversight; or anequivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent customer communication experience.

  • Experience and ability to work with electronic medical records and appointment scheduling.

  • Ability to process and secure appropriate referral and authorization for services as needed.

  • Ability to understand functions and responsibilities of clinical support units.

  • Ability to articulate physician's areas of expertise.

  • Understands and applies Cash Pay/Self Pay processes.

  • Demonstrated inventory control and management experience.

  • Process improvement projects, Lean Training, and/or 5S implementation

  • Possess the extensive knowledge and skills for practice in Ambulatory setting.

  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office.

  • Must possess the ability to maintain diplomacy at all times when working with patients, physicians, co-workers, and other UC departments and staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Dermatology and or Plastic experience.
  • Experience or training with Epic.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $40,700 - $85,295 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $19.49 - $40.85

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
