Job Description

This position will aid and support the Office of Academic Success. Responsibilities include learning or improving working knowledge of various technology software with the goal of becoming an extremely proficient user on respective software. Demonstrating the capabilities of the software on a regular basis.  The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills, work independently, be proficient is the use of technology.    The Software and Office Assistant will provide support with all administrative tasks which may include document handling, event and meeting support, customer service via phone, email and in person. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of technology, possess strong organizational skills, work independently.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Training and testing specified software directed by VPAS office
  • Understand how the technology will be used by VPAS office
  • Weekly mandatory meetings with Assistant to the VPAS and/or VPAS to communicate levels understanding of respective software. 
  • Assist as with administrative tasks which include:
    1. document handling
    2. event and meeting support
    3. customer service via phone, email and in person
    4. assisting with scheduling appointments in Outlook
    5. data entry

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Project Management and SharePoint Apps is a plus
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong initiative
  • Dependable, punctual, and responsible
  • Customer service skills that demonstrates diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Ability and willingness to take direction and accept constructive criticism and/or feedback
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to collaborate

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have completed FAFSA on file
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum six (6) credit hours
  • Must NOT have yet obtained 1st Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be seeking an eligible program of study
