Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The coordinator will work in a team setting to support volunteer engagement opportunities for alumni and other partners. This role will support the Office of Experiential Learning (OEL) to create meaningful alumni connections to current students, faculty, and staff both in and out of the classroom according to the mission and institutional priorities of the Robert H. Smith School of Business. This position will also handle various administrative duties to ensure the smooth and successful functioning of the office. This position will report to the Director of Experiential Learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years professional experience in administration, marketing, program management or data management in a higher education setting or a complex office environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to manage multiple deadlines, projects, contacts, and details.
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy level; ability to work independently and also a strong collaborator and team contributor in order to meet deadlines; working knowledge of databases, platforms, email, social media and other technologies.
  • Superb writing, editing, and proofreading skills, as well as strong verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking to build cohesive and integrative programs and communications.

Preferences:

Preferences:
Experience with CRM systems, such as CVENT, Advance, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Blackbaud.
