Associate Dean, Dual Credit

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Associate Dean, Dual Credit who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

Job Summary

Provides college-level leadership to develop, implement, coordinate, and review dual credit programs offered through partnerships with local high schools in collaboration with chairs, program coordinators, faculty, and staff. Assists with enrollment management strategies, dual credit program orientations, and ensuring instructional quality and rigor.  The Dual Credit Associate Dean assists with community engagements, collaborations, and partnerships to expand dual credit opportunities for students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist with the planning, development, implementation, student recruitment and evaluation of the college’s dual credit pathways and certificate programs.

Lead dual credit course scheduling and marketing in collaboration with college P-16 directors, department chairs, and dean, while focused on student success and completion.

Ensure dual credit programs allow for student success through data-driven informed decisions, developing accountability measures, and ensuring accreditation requirements are met.

Coordinate dual credit programs; conduct assessment of student outcomes; develop and collect required student data; and review and recommend changes to programs.

Assure regular review and revision of dual credit courses, implementing regulations, classifications, instruction methods, and required information.

Oversee dual credit platforms to facilitate recruitment, onboarding and enrollment processes.

Coordinate and maintain long-range dual credit academic plans, including community outreach.

Provide leadership to the Dual Credit Enrollment Service Assistants, including staff development.

Guide the dual credit faculty in keeping up to date on the latest trends in instructional methods, technology, online learning, and effective pedagogies for learning and ensure that these trends are built into the long-range plan for the department.

Oversee the recruitment, evaluation, and retention of qualified dual credit faculty in collaboration with the department chairs and College P-16 Directors.

Perform full management activities, subject to management concurrence and in accordance with applicable District policies, including full employee life cycle and performing related supervisory activities.

Exercise leadership in budget development and fiscal management of dual credit programs.

Support partnership leadership with local high schools.  Attend community functions and serve on committees.

Provide leadership that creates strong inter-campus and college-high school relationships through collaboration and creativity.

Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

         Master’s degree required

         5 years directly related experience in the management, development and successful administration of academic programs, timely reporting, instructional assessment and administration, and instructional partnerships required

         Teaching experience preferred   

Licensing & Certification

         Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions

General Office.  Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner.  Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements.  May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
