PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Reporting (CMMS/MRO/Daily Reports)

CMMS data entry of daily records to support Purchasing, MRO Inventory Control, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective, Special and Engineering Projects and Work Order systems. Maintenance of the work order system including all reports. Furnishes data to forecast estimates and schedules of goods in process and needs for future production and/or maintenance use without assistance. Maintains the daily record systems to support the Preventive Maintenance and Work Order systems. Stablish routines to guarantee the reliability of the reports and CMMS. Maintain plant and equipment records of maintenance actions; distributes reports and other documentation as required by plant policies and procedures. Routes schedule for input/approval by the Production Manager and Maintenance Supervisors Update equipment BOM's for accuracy and Create Part numbers in structure Manage and report Maintenance KPI's, using workbooks, internal systems and boards. Sourcing parts from other factories as needed (working with the storeroom). Develop job plans with manpower scheduling, parts verification, and parts kitting per company standards for Outages/Turnarounds Request quotes from vendors on parts. Plan weekend/shutdown work. Coordinate activities and provide direction to assigned area when Area Supervisor is unavailable. SAP onboarding training for new hires, LOTO training as needed and Present Training for maintenance dept. Manage the scheduling and tracking of Maintenance training program.

Inventory Control

Adheres storeroom policies and procedures regarding inventory receipt and issuance of maintenance tools. Identifies all needed parts, supplies, and services necessary to support assigned area and shift. Assists MRO department with inventory levels for materials on hand and on order based on min/max levels established for all needed parts, supplies, and services necessary to support assigned areas and shifts. Assists with physical inventory and cycle counts.

Work Orders

Tracks all parts required to maintain work orders scheduled and corrective issues as needed. Maintains sound procedures to accurately complete all parts orders, repairs and returns within a timely period. Controls costs to remain within budget. Stages parts and inventory. Ensures that the manuals have been updated and are available digitally and physically in the maintenance library. Follows standard operating procedures (SOP's). Uses feedback to update standard work, monitors job completion, and ensures correct closing codes are applied to completed work orders. Support on the production area to maintenance supervisor and technicians

Budget and Cost Control

Controls costs to remain within budget. Works with Production Dept. to determine optimal time for any needed repairs on equipment and follows through to ensure repairs are made on schedule.

Ensures department adheres to established safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. Responds to safety requirements as required to ensure safety documents are updated and information was communicated

Quality

Interprets and takes ownership of GMPs and food safety company standards. Must be able to provide recall information for raw material usage as well as disposals. Coordinate with Quality Assurance on any product placed or released from hold status, raw materials as well as finished product. Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions. Accountable for the KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) and operational standards as outlined in the plant accountability list in order to achieve targeted RCR.0.

Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS)

Participates in the implementation of the factory's KHMS System, especially in the pillar assigned to the department, to ensure successful completion of all checklist items/actions within the KHMS guidance. Meeting attendance and meeting leadership to ensure business continuity. Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly walks on the production area to identify work opportunities and review close PMs and CMs.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / EXPERIENCE LEVELS

The Maintenance Planner must possess knowledge of and understand the following:

  • Policies and procedures relating to procurement, receiving/processing purchase orders, tracking parts on order, etc.
  • Basic understanding of equipment maintenance including refrigeration, CAD, electrical and mechanical applications.
  • Methods for forecasting estimates and schedules of goods in process and future needs.
  • Methods for tracking and maintaining inventory levels, availability of parts and tools.
  • Daily record systems and Work Order system.
  • Software applications for completing duties and responsibilities (e.g. MS Office).

The incumbent must be able to learn the following within 6 months on the job:

  • Policies and procedures for ensuring data security in CMMS.
  • The plant's safety guidelines, policies, procedures, etc.

The Maintenance Planner must possess the following skills:

  • Enter data into CMMS and conduct CMMS audits.
  • Enter data into MRO, generate weekly MRO spending report, review and approve MRO inventory and prepare restock requisitions to keep inventory at optimum levels.
  • Create spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and other documents as part of reporting requirements.
  • Furnish data necessary for forecasting estimates and schedules.
  • Perform all assigned job duties in a safe and proper manner.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations using a computer or calculator.
  • Update policies and procedures for monitoring the storeroom parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Suggests changes to increase production, improve quality, increase efficiency reduce or eliminate waste, and enhance safety.

The Maintenance Planner must possess the following minimal education and experience:

  • Two-year degree from accredited college preferred.
  • One (1) year of working experience in the Maintenance Purchasing and/or Inventory field (food industry preferred).
  • Bilingual preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Maintenance Planner works primarily in an office setting and, frequency, visit a large, open food production area where there is exposure to dust, gas, or fumes and food odor and the incumbent works with and near hazardous equipment/ machinery (mixers, hoppers, conveyor belts, ovens, fryers, etc.). Hearing protection is required throughout the production and packing areas. Lighting is fluorescent. Floors in the production, packing areas, and warehouse are concrete and sanitized. They may be wet. All employees wear protective gear. Temperatures vary throughout the plant and can be very hot if working near ovens and cold in the warehouse.
