CO Research Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a CO Research Assistant to assist with research conducted by Faculty and staff in the Neurocritical Care department at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute ensures our patients have access to cutting-edge medical and healthcare technology. The NCC is an integral part of the medical center’s mission and is very important in patients' health care. The production of new knowledge, techniques, and products improves the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and control of the many diseases faced by our patients to extend further their efforts to sustain their lives and improve the quality of life of our patients and their families. This position's primary responsibility is patient screening, enrollment (with clinicians), managing clinical research and ensuring compliance with regulations, protocol(s), and overall clinical objectives.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Screen potential study subjects for eligibility.
  • Monitor, track, and manage all study-related tasks at study sites, ensuring compliance with GCP, ICH, applicable regulations, and company SOPs.
  • Collect, review, track, and ensure completion of appropriate site-specific study/essential documents.
  • Track and report the progress of the study.
  • Responsible for quality data from study sites.
  • Ensures appropriate source documentation and accurate data transcription into the study Case Report Form (CRF), as evidenced by minimal data query rates.
  • Ensures timely reconciliation of data queries and process improvement/corrective action implementation when needed.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Submits invoices for charges by research study.
  • May take meeting minutes, develop and maintain study trackers, or assume other tasks to support the study team.
  • Coordinate, assemble, and ship study-related supplies as needed.
  • Assist with the creation and review of study tools/documents.


Availability

  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Must have a quality-service attitude and be willing to work additional hours to meet deadlines.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $35,776 - $63,024 (23.75/hour targeted; Commensurate with experience)
