NTBHA is the Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA) contracted by Texas Human Services Commission (HHSC) to provide mental health and substance use disorder services to qualified indigent consumers.

NTBHA is responsible for developing a collaborative system of care for individuals in crisis. We are focused on trauma-informed, resilience-oriented care in all services provided.

You will have had exposure to various parts of HR in your previous roles, and enough confidence and experience to make decisions accordingly. This role requires working collaboratively, strong communication, a heightened attention to detail, superb organization and collaboration.

We are a dynamic and fast paced organization and are looking for a colleague who is excited about the HR function, trying new things, thinking outside the box and offering a creative, yet efficient approach to our organization.

Job duties, responsibilities, and skills:

  • Proven ability to prioritize the most impactful work amidst multiple competing priorities.
  • Success in leading and managing projects, some of which may be large-scale, cross-functional, and require strong stakeholder management and alignment.
  • Flexible to work additional hours as influenced by business needs.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into HR-related matters, demonstrating fairness, objectivity, and professionalism throughout the process.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risk effectively.
  • Provide a full range of HR consulting services and problem-solving including employee relations, organizational design and development, talent acquisition and performance management..
  • Ability to work both strategic and hands-on.
  • Although this role does not involve working directly with clients directly, we want someone with compassion, that understands what our organization represents and what we do.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years either working in (some capacity) in mental health and/or volunteering in this field.
  • 1 -2 years of working with Relias a plus.
  • Must have experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in different HR roles.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • An understanding and compassion for those we serve.
